Dear Parents,
Week 10 has arrived, and our first semester of learning concludes this Friday 25th June. Thank you to all our students who have worked so hard across Terms One and Two and given their best in so many ways. It is always a pleasure to provide this feedback to parents through the parent/teacher meetings that will be held throughout the week.
Congratulations to our Year 3-6 girls who are representing St Patrick’s at the Riverina Netball Cup Carnival in Wagga today. We wish them a successful day of competition and above all, a great day of fun.
Term 3 begins on Tuesday 13th July for all students K-6. Staff members will be attending a Spirituality Day on Monday 19th July entitled ‘Stillness, Silence, Service’. We will be joining our fellow staff members from McAuley and St Joseph’s Adelong for this opportunity to reflect on our own personal spiritual growth. We have much to look forward to in Term 3. Please see the dates below that you can add to your diary now. Please also note the change of date for the Public Speaking Competition between McAuley and St Patrick’s.
Our end of term assembly this Friday will commence at 2:15pm in St Patrick’s School hall. We look forward to celebrating student successes and achievements with our families.
Wishing all our families a wonderful restful and safe holiday. We look forward to seeing you all again in two weeks.

Principal
St Patrick pray for us
Mass will be celebrated this Friday. The SRC will be presenting the Mass. All are welcome to join this celebration from 12pm.
We thank the SRC for organising the ‘Beanies for Brain Cancer’ fundraiser. The proceeds will go towards medical research to help find a cure for this dreadful disease.
Acts of kindness
One of the things discussed, were conversations around dinner tables. Usually, Parents may ask their child what did you do at school today?
What a wonderful way for all of us to reflect on our day.
Confirmation Candidates
Next term the children in Year 5 and 6 will begin their preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation.
During the holidays, the children should use the time to contact the person they have chosen to be their Sponsor, asking them to support them in their faith journey.
As part of the Sacrament, the Candidates will take on the name of a Saint. Choosing a name is an important element of the Sacrament of Confirmation. The Candidates should research the Saints and chose one that has qualities that they aspire to. What is it about that Saint that is meaningful to you?
St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal.
Help us make a difference to people in need in our local community this winter. Support the Vinnies Winter Appeal and help bring safety and security to people struggling to make ends meet.
On Friday 23rd July (Term 3, Week 2), St Patrick’s would like to support the St Vincent de Paul Society in their Winter Appeal.
- We propose that the children will come out of uniform and wear a scarf and beanie to emphasis the comfort we have in comparison to those in need.
- A gold coin donation would be appreciated.
- On this day families are encouraged to donate suitable winter clothing, jumpers, jackets, scarfs, hats, gloves, socks, blankets etc.
- We will celebrate Mass on this day, taking our items with us and placing these into the St Vinnies blue bin as we go to the Church.
******* The upcoming school holidays is a perfect time to go through our cupboards and find suitable items for donation*****************
Wishing everyone a happy and safe holiday.
